Privacy Policy
This policy explains how FlowGuide handles data in the Chrome extension and related backend services.
Information FlowGuide handles
- Account information, such as email address and display name, when you sign in.
- Authentication session data stored locally in Chrome so the extension can keep you signed in.
- Flow, template, note, feedback, settings, and sync metadata that you create or save in FlowGuide.
- Team workspace data, such as organization names, memberships, roles, invitations, shared flows, and shared templates.
- Support messages you choose to send to us.
Website content and page text
FlowGuide includes a template expansion feature that can run on web pages where the extension is allowed. It checks editable fields locally, keeps only a short in-memory key buffer to detect template shortcuts, and inserts the matching template text when you type a shortcut. FlowGuide does not send the page text you are typing to the backend for this feature.
How data is used
- To run the extension features you request, including guided flows, templates, settings, local persistence, and team workspace features.
- To authenticate your account and protect synced or team data.
- To deliver account and team invite emails.
- To respond to support requests and troubleshoot product issues.
Sharing and service providers
FlowGuide uses service providers only to operate the product. Current providers may include Supabase for authentication and backend data storage, Resend for email delivery, Cloudflare for public website hosting, and Google Chrome Web Store for extension distribution. We do not sell user data.
Local storage and synced storage
The extension stores local product data in Chrome extension storage so your flows, templates, notes, settings, and session can survive reloads. If you sign in and use sync or team workspace features, selected flow, template, account, and team workspace data may be stored in FlowGuide backend systems.
Data choices
- You can sign out in the extension to clear the active account session from the local extension state.
- You can use local reset controls in the extension to remove local FlowGuide data from that browser profile.
- You can contact support to request help with account or backend data questions.
Security
FlowGuide keeps backend authorization decisions on the server. Extension UI state and browser storage are treated as untrusted inputs for account-backed actions.
